ADVICE NEEDED PLS!! 2.75ct or 1.53ct

Hey, I’m new here but really need some help!

I have two oval diamond options, price is once set in a diamond pave band. (Approx 1.8mm)
1. GIA 1.53ct F colour SI2, $16,000 USD
2. HRD 2.74ct H colour SI2, $24,000 USD

Would really appreciate your opinions! The larger stones looks quite yellow next to the smaller diamond? Which one would you choose? Please note I have to choose between these two due to having credit with the jeweller.

H is white enough in my eyes, I don’t see a huge difference between H and F in your pics. I consider HRD reputable in my eyes, a US based audience might not (HRD is more recognised in Europe). I would prefer the larger stone any day, with the following caveats:

- is the stone eye clean?

- is the stone white enough to your eye in isolation, ie not compared to the other stone but on its own?

- how much do you value whiteness? The size difference is immense, so are you willing to sacrifice the size for the colour?

- is the larger stone a nice stone on its own? Is it cut well? Elongated ovals will almost always have a bow tie, but I don’t consider that a problem as long as the bow tie also flashes/returns light at different lighting conditions, angles etc. If it’s a large dead black area through the centre, I wouldn’t buy that stone. No one can gauge that through a pic, so you’ll have to let your eyes do the talking (see the stone in a variety of lighting conditions, not just the store lighting. It’s important to see it in the shade, dim lighting, natural light etc).

The larger one has a noticeable yellow tint and an obvious bow tie, so that would be a big negative to me. The smaller one seems more white, but does it, too, have a bow tie? In these photos they both seem very dead in the middle - which can be a problem with ovals. What's the light return like? Do they sparkle? Flashes of light? If it *has* to be one or the other, I'd probably go with the larger one, given that both appear to have large bow ties, and I'd bezel set it in yellow gold to off-set the tint. It's a BIG size difference.

Also - can we see the certs? I'd like to see what the inclusion plot looks like, because SI2 can be worrying. If both have clouds, I'd pass on both and look for something else with the same jeweler.

Do you already have an engagement ring? If this is an 'extra' piece, how would you feel about earrings? A bracelet? Something else?

I have to say I’m put off by the bow ties in both stones. Otherwise I’d always go for a bigger H over a smaller F, all other things being equal. Could you keep looking?

From what I have seen in dual certed stones, HRD seem off on 2 color grades from GIA. But, if I had to choose one of these I would still go for the larger one.
