First of all let me say what a great forum this is - and such a wealth of knowledge. (I have especially enjoyed the Friday Tiffany''s posts)

Anyway my situation is this:

There are two diamond e-rings i''m looking at

1) 0.64k VS1, colour H, cut is VVE - $5750

2) 0.64k VVS2, colour H, cut is VVE - $6000

Is it worth paying the extra $250 to go up a level in clarity? I really have no idea. The rings look exactly the same to me.

Cheers -matt

you will need to post a bit more information about the stones.........do you have any measurements??????
The cut is the most important "C" as far as determining the beauty of the stone......

ditto- there is no way to tell which stone is better....but as for clarity, I don''t see a point in going up from a vs1 just for the sake of clarity alone!

Double ditto. No need for that, good luck!!!!

Okay this may be a silly question but what do the VVE mean in terms of cut?

you will not see a difference in clarity from vvs to vs1. if these are your options, go with the lower price. your eyes will never notice the difference.
