Hello,

I was thinking of purchasing this diamond online through www.uniondiamond.com for $8,922.

These are the specs:

Carat: 1.53
Color: F
Clarity: SI1
Cut: Ideal
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescensce: None

The diamond features a 70.9% depth, 72% Table No Culet, , Medium to Slightly Thick Girdle, the diamond measures 6.40 x 6.39 x 4.53mm.

Any advantages /disadvantages to this diamond? It is GIA certified as well. Is this a good deal?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks

I dont do prices - you can do that yourself here.

I do cut - I am sure the boys at Unioun would be able to take an ideal-scope or preferreably an ASET photo for us.

If they need help send them this link

It may just be me, but after looking at probably hundreds of asets, ideal/imagescopes, brilliantscopes, isee2, whatever for the past few months for almost every princess cut diamond on the internet that has them available, I have never, ever, seen a princess with a table larger than its depth compare to a similar princess with a table smaller than its depth 70/72 is pretty close and may look very good, but a similar princess with 7X% depth with a table in the high 50s or low to mid 60s will probably show better light performance on any test you want to put them through..if one is available for a similar price that might be something to consider. Whether or not people can see the difference between a High and a very high in person is up to debate though so it may all be moot.

Thanks for the advice. Besides the table % being greater than the depth, is there anything else I should be concerned about?

Is the diamond listed within the price range for the specifications listed as well?

Thanks
