Advice: Girdle

I think "thin to medium" is ideal in terms of girdle, but am wondering what difference it would make if I selected a "medium to slightly thick"?

I am considering a diamond with the following specs:
- shape: round
- cut: ideal
- size: 1.5
- fluoressence: none
- colour: D
- symmetry: excellent
- clarity : VVS
- depth: 60%

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

thin to medium is okay. Medium to slightly thick is fine too. Those aren't big fluctuations.

Very thin or very thick you want to avoid if you can. And large fluctuations such as thin to thick.

The spectrum is:
very thin, thin, medium, slightly thick, very thick


So you ideally want to stay within one variation. If you move beyond that, you usually want the vendor to have the stone in hand and explain why and which value is the most prevalent.

As for the rest of the specs.

We need table, crown angle, and pavillion angle numbers. Also run the numbers though the HCA: https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca This is a rejection tool and it is pass/fail. One number is not better than any other under 2. Anything under 2 has potential and you should get an Idealscope image for it if available.
