2.27ct J VS2 Round Brilliant
GIA
Cut: Good
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Measurements: 8.44 - 8.47 x 5.04mm
Depth: 59.6%
Table: 63%
Crown: 36 degrees
Pavilion: 40.2 degrees
HCA score: 2.6 (Very Good light return, Very Good fire, Very Good scintillation, Excellent spread)

Thank you

yes with the huge table and too shallow pavilion it is going to be dark.

Not a well cut stone.

HCA has limitations , using it on a Good diamond and getting a ''Very good light'' return does not make it a Very good cut diamond.

Look for GIA excellent first and then do an HCA

Thank you

Here's a little help narrowing things down to stones that have potential to be well cut. Look at GIA excellent cut only. Polish and symmetry need to be very good or excellent.

Table: 54-58

Depth: 60-62.3

Crown angle: 34-35

Pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

Girdle: thin, medium, slightly thick (or combo of those)
