Wedding Addressing Question

I''m currently addressing my Save the Dates and I''ve got a question I''d love your opinions on...

On the one for my Maid of Honor and Best friend I''m a bit perplexed about how to address it. She lives with her boyfriend of quite some time now and I''d like to put his name on it as well. I think that technically it should be: Mr. So and So Boyfriend and Miss MaidofHonor BestFriend.

But I feel like her name should go first because she''s my BFF and MOH. So I''d like to put: Miss MaidofHonor BestFriend and Mr. So and So Boyfriend. Would that look weird? Or be "disrespectful"? I honestly don''t think he''d care at all, but I''d like to do the proper technique.

And on that note. For widows I read that you should address them as Mrs. Husband''s Name. But that seems soooooo odd to me. I don''t think I''d want to get mail addressed to me as Mrs. My Dead Husband''s Name years after he died, or even worse maybe, right after he died. Should I stick with Mrs. Husband''s Name or should I make it Mrs. HerFirst MarriedLastName?

I believe that when its an unmarried couple, the women''s name is supposed to go first. This is what I did with mine:

Ms. MaidofHonor BestFriend
Mr. So and So Boyfriend
Address
City
Zip

I don''t have any advice for a widow, I think it may depend on the generation the lady is from. For example, someone from the "greatest generation", like my Grandma, would probably perfer the traditional way.

I suggested to FI that he ask his parents about it as two of the widows I am concerned about are his grandmothers, but he seems to think just doing it the traditional way is fine.

Woman''s name always goes first if addressed to two people.

If she''s married, the outer envelope should be addressed only to her ie Mrs John Smith.

For widows or divorcees, you address the envelope as Mrs Jane Smith.
