What''s an acceptable response time for you for a vendor? I think I might be a bit too picky, so I want some alternative opinions. I know you had issues with this bee, so I''d like to hear from you regarding your new photographer! I really like this photographer and we met last week, but they haven''t responded to my additional e-mail questions. Now I know they were not in the office at the beginning of this week, so maybe they''re just busy or something. Anyway, I am getting antsy. How long do you think is acceptable?

This is a good topic Sarah. With our floral vendors, it was a 2-day turnaround for the one we chose to go with. 3 day turnaround for the other two. (The difference in price was unbelievable). The photographer was a little more laid back, but but was responsive to all emails. The only vendor that is freaking me out is the dress designer. We have emailed her three times and we haven''t had a response or even a read receipt and that is starting to make us nervous. The dress is due in next week, so we will just keep our fingers crossed that our concerns were for naught...

I have to say that nothing makes my heart sing than a vendor that is eager to please and goes out of their way to get right back to you asap. We always ask them how long we can expect before we hear from them, and so far, they seem to be keeping to their word.

Good luck on the vendors. Are you having trouble sleeping tonight too? I am seriously considering starting my outline for a book...but I am procrastinating as usual.

Yes, I am!

I slept too long today after my exam I think. I need to study for my next exam, but I did that a bit earlier and feel like I need a break. Problem is, now I'm craving a snack of some sort. E.g. I really want a brownie sundae!!

Maybe I can eat an apple?

ETA: I am also playing Super Mario Kart to pass the time. =D

I just had some celery with P.B, after a fiber filled english muffin...Ugh, I miss my Oroweat Extra Crunchy, but fiber is a good thing.

Mario carts rocks...love the banana peels.

I can definitely sympathise Sarah! With my new photographer, he has emailed back within 24 hours every time, even when he was covering a wedding in the UK and somewhere else in Europe. I

that. I''d put a post up about the other photographer on an Irish wedding site before I was due to meet him and I''ve had a couple of people pm me and tell me that he had done the same thing to them also, so I''m delighted I didn''t go with him in the end. It''s very important for me that the vendor replies promptly. I don''t mind up to three days but after that I get frustrated.

Aww bee your new one sounds great! Yeah it is important to me, too. I mean I get back to people right away and I know people are busy, I just like the same thing. Sigh.

Oh it looks like things are kind of crazy busy for them right now (they did get back to me) so I will try to be a bit less antsy and see how it goes next few weeks.

All my vendors have about a 24-48 hour response time. Sometimes a little less, if I email during they day and they are working. But they are generally all very good about responding.
