Hi there!

I''m trying to decide on an eternity band and need help! I''m between a Memoire and and ACA from Whiteflash. I''ve never seen an ACA in person, I''ve only read rave reviews about them online. I can get a 3 ct ACA for the same price of a 2 ct Memoire, however the ACA eternity band does not qualify for the trade-up policy that Whiteflash offers because the diamonds are not certified. I''m concerned that I may need to resize the band in the future and that supposedly is one thing that Memoire is known for. Also, Memoire''s trade-in policy is fantastic - they will give you the current sale price of the ring you are trading in (or so I''ve been told by two jewelers). What do you think? Is the Memoire worth the additional cost?

I have a 3.4 ctw Whiteflash ACA u-prong eternity band and I''ve never seen anything sparkle like it does. However, that upgrade policy sounds very nice as well as the resizing. I didn''t get mine until I was 50 years old so I''m not too worried about resizing it. I would make a suggestion that whoever you go with, give them a ring that fits the way you want the eternity band to fit instead of just saying I''m a size whatever.

Shelley, thank you for your advice! Ordering the appropriate size is another concern of mine with ordering from Whiteflash (or any othe ronline retailer). Right now I''m about a size 5.25 but the ACA band only comes in whole and half sizes, otherwise the ring needs to be a custom order, which is non-returnable.

Mine was a custom order and the workmanship is incredible. I get comments on it all the time so I wouldn''t be concerned with the custom work. I believe they do a good job of standing behind their work if there''s any problems.

I''d go with memoire. their process of making the bands is amazing and they are built to last a lifetime. you can read about it on their website. they use ideal diamonds so they will not be dull or lack sparkle.

HI:

I tried on several Memoire eternities and loved them, design, policies and all. I ended up buying an ACA wedding band and it is really great--the ACA''s are gorgeous diamonds. In the final analysis, I balked at the Memorie prices, but in all honesty cannot say I don''t have some regrets. I loved the way the M bands looked on my finger--setting was gorgeous.

Good luck--you cannot go wrong with either.

cheers--Sharon

I have a five stone Memoire band and I love it today as much as I did when I got it. The stones are just beautiful and the workmanship of the ring is really outstanding. I''m sure the ACA stones are beautiful as well - but I did want the workmanship and policy of the Memoire band. It is a first quality product - I can certainly vouch for that. It''s a tried and true design and looks very nice on the finger. It is smooth and comfortable - unlike alot of other bands I tried on. I have not seen the WF band in person so I can''t give an apples to apples comparison but I would certainly recommend the Memoire based on owning one!

Whether I go with the Memoire or the ACA band, I''m probably goinging to take the plunge and switch my e-ring setting to an eternity band as well. In a few years, I''m hoping to upgrade my center stone to something a little larger (around 1.5 ct) with a better cut. I''ll definitely consider the ACA for a center stone because they do have a good warranty on their certified diamonds. So, my next question is, if I were to go with the Memoire bands because of their warranty and trade-up policies and then pair them with a ACA center stone at some point, do you guys think that will look okay? Will the ACA center stone be too nice for the Memoire band??

No, not at all. Memoire gives you different options in terms of clarity and color of the stones you use in their pieces. Try to stay in the same range (at least colorwise) that you think you will be choosing your center stone from and all should be well.

What size stones are you thinking of for the five stone band?

Right now I''m leaning towards eternity (rather than the five-stone band) and going with a 2 ctw each for the wedding band and the e-ring setting. The center stone I currently have is 1 ct. Do you think that will look okay? It''s a big decision. I really don''t like how my e-ring looks with any wedding bands which is making the whole thing even more difficult.
