Hi
I am about to pull the trigger on a pair of WF ACA studs, approx 33 carats each. I cant decide between G or H. I have F/G eternity and love the white look of this. I read all the time that a well cut stone will perform better etc etc. So if you have a H ACA stone, is it white white iykwim?? Any thoughts for a pair of earrings regarding the colour.

Thanks in advance

Hu D2,

I have a pair of ACA studs, 1.16 tcw. One is G, one H. I can't see any difference in them what so ever. Both are gorgeous and white, get the H's! If I could have found what I wanted at the time in an I or even J I would have gotten them. The cut really does make a difference.

Hi there!

Just chiming in because I purchased a pair of 0.32 ct ACA''s from WF yesterday, and they''re being set into white gold martinis as we speak!! I was able to go to WF yesterday and look at several gorrrrgeous stone options...I looked at a pair of G''s (can''t remember their clarity), an H/SI2 pair, an I/SI1 pair, and a J/VS2 pair. I ended up going with the J/VS2''s because, to me, I really couldn''t perceive any color difference!! Honestly, the cut really does make a huge difference, and in this size of stone, you''re even less likely to see the color than in bigger stones.

I wouldn''t even hesitate (obviously) to go into the I/J range...all of the stones I saw yesterday were equally gorgeous, imho.

I have H vs2 33 point each ACA studs and I love them. They look white to me, and if I ever upgraded I would probably stay around the H color. However, perhaps I''m not color sensitive, and whom am I to say that an F, G stone wouldn''t look even more white?

Color can be mind clean type deal as well. It seems some people can detect color differences at those levels and any hint of warmth bothers them, and I can''t tell if you are one of those types. Personally, when I wear my earrings all I see is the sparkle, and would highly doubt anyone looking at my ear is wondering "is that H or G colored?"

Thanks everyone for your replies. I really wish I was close to WF so I could pop in and see them in person. Probably lucky I am not otherwise who knows what I would end up buying

I have a pair, one is an F and one is a G. While I love them, I feel like I could have easily gone to an H without a visable difference. The G looks just as icy white as the F, I don''t even know which one is which. Mine are about 0.35 cts each, so about the same size as the ones you are looking at.

I have a pair of ACA H VS2''s and they are like little headlights when worn! I wouldn''t hesitate to get H again and I''d be willing to try I as well.

I have a pair of WF ES I/VS2s that are .3 each and they are whiter than white! So I''d go with the Hs and save some $, personally.
