ACA SI1 Clean Table - Is this common?

I recently pulled the trigger on an ACA with SI1 clarity for a pendant necklace. I found this diamond with a completely clean table, and some inclusions on the pavilion and was surprised it was graded as SI1. The WF rep who helped me said It was really a really nice stone and assured me that the inclusions are completely eye clean, clear, and not very deep.

I know there won’t be any issues with performance or durability, otherwise it wouldn’t make ACA standards.

Can someone out there educate me on why this would be an SI1 as opposed to a VS2 or higher? Looking to learn more as a newbie!

It has a feather underneath on the pavilion that is only seen with a certain x times Loupe (I’m not sure what the strength is 10x 20x?) I think.

This is a great price drop for you because you are paying for SI1 but you will never be able to see it.... maybe if you turned it upside down.

It’s going to be fantastic.

Is it common to see SI1s like this - only a handful of feathers on the pavilion (eye clean) and nothing on the table? I’m just curious because I see VS1 and VS2 with all types of inclusions on the table. Just surprised it was graded as it was.
FWIW I did purchase the stone and am anxiously awaiting the final pictures!

Are there any comments or listings other than feather?

Yes, I got my wife an .825 ACA F SI1 for a pendant that is 100% clean under the table, a cloud and feather are all that is there. 100% eye clean, I call these super good deals.

The grader is grading on what he or she sees. You can't judge the clarity by the clarity plot. There are certainly eyeclean SI1s, and some are not. That's the value of a vendor who has in-house stones and can tell you whether a stone is eyeclean or not.

I’m definitely not mad about it! When I discovered it I was definitely second guessing it for a minute. Glad I went for it and sounds like your wife has a beautiful pendant! Would love to see some photos if you have any to share!

Received the pendant necklace over the weekend - safe to say she loved it! It's a sparkle bomb and I can't believe how white it faces up for an I color. Very pleased with the craftsmanship and customer service by Whiteflash!
