I honestly can't believe how sick people are. I was disgusted when I read about the British woman who threw the cat into the dumpster, and then I heard about this from my mom today -

Police are on the trail of the infamous puppy pitcher.

A teenage Cruella De Vil captured in a disturbing video posted online tossing several crying puppies into a rapidly moving river is now the focus of a police investigation in Bosnia.

...

In the video, the young, blonde woman is seen smiling as she picks several puppies out of a dirty bucket and viciously tosses them into a river.

At one point during the 44-second video, as she lobs a black-and-white pup into the water, the girl can clearly be heard saying, "whee."

The link to the video is in the article. Absolutely horrible. I want to cry.

I didn't open the link... i know i'd be livid and probably want to toss her in the river and hope she doesn't come back up.

there is a very special place that is worse than hell for people like that. :angryfire:

I'm not even going to look. Psycho on a power trip.

I can't look either...would just make me upset.

No way can I look. Too sad... :nono:

Link's to the full article, not the video though the video link is in the article. I can't watch it myself. Just reading about it makes me nauseous and outraged.

I looked.
I feel like throwing up. :angryfire:

Some people are a waste of skin. How was she caught on video? Who was the sick SOB who stood there and taped her doing it? I didn't look at the link, just read what BEG posted up top there.

I read that her brother taped it, and then someone sent the tape in. It's all very unclear, and there have been a couple rewards posted for her identity (one by the Transformers 3 director, for $50K, and another $2K by PETA I think). So far her identity has been traced to a small town in Bosnia.

I hope they find them both. :angryfire:

Bring on the next batch of serial killers. A sister/brother team.

I watched about 3 seconds. At first I was thinking.. oh she could be throwing rocks or something.... but then they started crying :(

OH MY GOD. I'll throw her in to a river.

I watched it.

This girl is a monster.

I'm afraid there are lots of monsters in the world sadly.

They ought to be concerned about what she might do to people as well.

I can't watch. I know I will just start crying. I'm sick to my stomach just reading about it.

I was thinking that too! Next female serial killer caught on tape..

I can't help but wonder why that girl is the way she is. A part of me wonders if the war in Bosnia had anything to with her behaviour?

I'm in no way condoning what she did. I think it is was despicable. Yet, life has taught me that people who do despicable things have invariably had despicable things done to them.

At the risk of sounding like a hippie, we need more love and kindness in this world.

War in Bosnia? Trust me, she was in diapers when war ended there...I'd say it's lack of parental care that made her a monster.

Diapers rarely stop monsters. I live in a country that sees more childrape cases than any warzone.

I'm not fighting with you. I'm merely trying to show that surely there must be a reason why this girl is the way she is. Like you, I question the role her parents played in her being the way she is. I strongly feel that this girl needs help, or else the cycle will continue.

In 1952 John Steinbeck wrote:
"I believe there are monsters born in the world to human parents. Some you can see, misshapen and horrible, with huge heads or tiny bodies. . . . And just as there are physical monsters, can there not be mental or psychic monsters born? The face and body may be perfect, but if a twisted gene or a malformed egg can produce physical monsters, may not the same process produce a malformed soul?"

He was on to something.

I don't know why you feel I'm fighting with anyone? And since I live in country next to Bosnia and felt war on my own skin I know that new generations of children are everything but raised properly... yes, you can still feel hate between individuals but those individuals were obsessed with blood type even before war... so, again, I'd say it's all about the way your parents raise you...

Btw they found her, police will interrogate her parents as well...

Oh, I'm shaking...there's a future serial killer in the making. I hope that she gets the help she needs behind bars, where she belongs.

i can't watch something that horrible-- i would be in tears all day. this girl is evil to the core and deserves more than the most severe punishment the law can offer in addition to whatever society will subject her to-- she's a wretched b*tch UGHH :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: She should be happy that I'm not over there issuing the punishments.

Makes me want to cry....and then go give my own adopted puppies a big huge hug and tell them how much I love my babies!

I did not think you were fighting with me and I wanted to convey to you that I was not fighting with you. I find it incredibly hard to convey tone and nuance in text.

I'm glad she's been caught and I hope they are able to establish what went wrong so that this can be avoided in future.

I have many friends from Bosnia and I find it scary how, even so many years later, the war still affects them. In turn this affects the way they interact with their children. Isn't it sad how these children are casualties of war, even though the war was over before some of them were even born?

War or no war, parents or no parents a human being should be able to look at a living thing and think "This animal is alive, and is not hurting me. I do not need to kill it for food. It is no threat to my family. I will respect it's life as I expect others to respect mine."

If a person can light a cat on fire, throw a puppy into a river or drown a litter of kittens, they can do the same thing to a baby. There is no reason for this behavior other than wanting to have the power to take away a life, and once they have the rush of their first kill it can be a very rapid transition to humans. Dahmer anyone?

Yes. A human being should be able to make that distinction...

But as much as we'd like to believe it is, that behaviour is not innate.

Behaviour is learnt. If this girl was never taught that life is valuable, how could she be expected to believe that?

Gosh. I'm usually a 'we all choose our own paths. Can't blame others for our choices in life' sort of person.

I have no idea why I'm trying so hard to find an explanation for this girl's actions. Am I playing devil's advocate? Am I growing soft? Am I becoming one of those bleeding heart liberal types who try to find a sociological reason for every nutter? Am I getting old?!

You know, sometimes when we are frightened by someone's actions, or unable to rationally explain why people do horrible things, we retreat to that line of thinking to explain it away. She's not a zombie, she's old enough to know better. Someone obviously valued her and her friend's lives enough that they were able to grow past infancy, buy clothes and video equipment. Maybe they were abused, maybe they had bad lives, but someone still valued them enough to keep them alive (as we all know, the odds of a baby surviving with no care are quite slim). Someone valued their lives at least enough not to take it away from them.

The unfortunate girl in this video obviously has a friend or sibling of some sort, with which she feels enough of a human bond to go on a day trip of puppy murder. No, the truth is, she does value life, just not the lives of creatures she doesn't view as having the right to live. She has no given right to decide who can live and who can die, yet she felt entitled to make that choice for a litter of puppies. She didn't go after a grown man, she targeted the small and weak for a very specific reason. That's how it starts. Luckily it takes a very special kind of stupid to record and post yourself murdering live puppies, so hopefully she will have to live with this the rest of her life.

Greater minds than mine have debated the origin of this kind of behavior since the dawn of the field of psychiatry. Is this behavior innate? Is it learned? Is it a combination of the two? Is this girl mentally ill? Is she evil? Is she a combination of the two?

I think the debate will continue for a long time, with evidence presented to support all sides. I hate to sound negative, but I don't think we'll ever have a clear, concise explanation for why people do these kinds of things. JMHO, of course.

Not to say we can't have our own personal opinions, theories, etc.

This girl's behavior if horrifying, like being in a nightmare. It's frightening and depressing that people can commit such horrible acts.

I can't watch.

I'm a firm believer that those who abuse children and animals should be put through the same abuse that they inflicted.

Sick. Sick. Sick.

I can't click on the link because it will be too disturbing, but I really hope that this person is caught and prosecuted. Actually, maybe they could just pitch HER into a raging river?
