So BF and I finally got around to saving up for our small, but all the same full of sentiment diamond for our engagement ring! I deposited the last bit of money today, and I'd like to make sure everything's alright with all of you well seasoned PSers before wiring the money to BGD tomorrow. So without further ado, here are the specs!

Thank you Diamondseeker! It's been a long time coming and I'm finally glad we're in the home stretch. Just have to wait for it to be set a little later on (we're doing it in parts to minimize the cost) I'm so excited to work with BGD!

I hate to be a negative nancy but I hope these pics were taken "crooked" because it doesn't look like the culet is anyhwere near centered on this stone. Am I the only one noticing that? Its slightly less bad in the ASET but in the IS it's like...you gotta be joking.

Ame, I actually did notice that as well. I thought I was the only one...It has me on the fence, but I STILL haven't heard from BGD since yesterday. I'm on the east coast and I have no idea what their time frames are over in Houston.

I called but Jamie was busy with another customer. This is what she responded to my email: "Please do not be alarmed as what is happening is the diamond is tilted in the photos.The culet is not actually off center so there is nothing to worry about." Good enough I suppose?

Verdy, there is NO WAY Brian would allow a diamond with an off center culet to have any of this labels on them. I would feel perfectly safe.

Small question, since you've worked with them before, when (if) they gave you the discount for being a PSer, did they take it off the wire price, or the original? I have Jamie telling me my total is $731.50, and Lesley telling me it's $753.50...So I'm a little confused..I think Jamie took the 5% off the wire, but Lesley did it off the original....

She does ask me what my method of payment will be and let's me know what the price difference is between wire and not because she knows that for smaller purchases I'd rather not incur a wire fee.

So I just got home from doing the wire, and they should be getting it tomorrow morning! As for the PS related discount - apparently you get one from buying diamonds, it's a 5% discount off the original price of the stone, I believe you just have to ask, or state that you are a PSer! Thanks for your advice and input everyone! All of you are so wonderful
