About to pull the trigger - what do you think?!

So, after much searching and questioning what I''m really looking for in a stone, I''ve settled on this one - http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-SI1-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1122661.asp

I am happy to go to I to get the 2ct size (what can I say, I''ve discovered I''m a shameless size girl!

), and have inspected the stone in person, and it''s totally eyeclean to me. There is an inclusion under the table, but it''s pretty much clear. The gemologist who I met with at James Allen''s NY HQ was SO lovely, and has advised me that this is a great stone and a great SI1.

I wanted to check it by you guys as my last sanity check!! The proportions are great, it scores a 1.5 EX-EX-EX-VG on the HCA, it''s graded EX-EX-EX by the GIA, and I think it''s great! Yes, upside down, and next to an upside-down H, I could detect a bit of a color difference, but, face up, how it will be in the ring, it is beautiful.

FYI, I''m going to get it set by Leon - a think solitaire, with pave on the side - almost as thin as this one: http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=315 , but with pave on the sides, half way (and maybe on the basket) like this one: http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=274

CONGRATULATIONS on your new 2 carat-excellent cut diamond! That is soooo exciting. I too HAD to have a 2 carat diamond. It is an elegant size, just right for everyday wearing for me. And you''re getting a Leon setting to boot! I can''t wait to see your photos!

I will be sure to post many, many, many pics of my ring - soooo excited to have discovered Leon Mege through this amazing forum, and to be having him create my engagement ring! Also, just got the Idealscope for "my" stone - I think it looks good!
