My insurance adjustor called this morning and I should be seeing funds in my account to replace my lost ring tomorrow or the next day. I decided that I will just go ahead and upgrade the size to get what I really want. I started out with a 1 CT band.

At any rate, I decided to go with BGD and get the Classic U Prong setting. I am really loving the rose gold, but not opposed to platinum. My dilemma and point for advice is this: I wear a size 5.75 ring and am a petite woman. I originally thought something between .20-.30 would suffice, but now that I have started looking at what is available within my budget, I am leaning towards .30-.35 stones. The greedy diamond lover in me is saying go with the bigger stones, but the logical part of me is asking if I will really be able to tell the difference between a 1.5 CTW and a 1.75 CTW on a 5-stone ring. I know 2.00 is more than I want and out of budget anyway, but what do you think, PS family? 1.5 or 1.75?

I'm sure you'll get different opinions, but I would go with the larger size stones. I wear a 2 carat total five stone on a size 6 finger (right hand) and I think it is just perfect. Either way though it will be beautiful!!!

Both choices (1.5 ctw, 1.75 ctw) sound lovely. Can't wait to hear what you decide.

Are you wearing it with your e-ring or as a rhr? I thought I wanted a 1.5 to 2 cttw 5 stone too but after trying it with my ering, it was just too overwhelming for my 1.66ct stone :(( :(sad . I ended up with a .90cttw 5 stone which I think goes better with my ering. I am a size 6.

I will be wearing it as a RHR. My wedding set is a 1.73 round set with 6 x .10 stones in the main ring, and 7 x.10 stones in the wedding band, if that matters.

Well heck if its a rhr, then bigger is always better :naughty:  but on a serious note, I am not sure if you can see the difference between a 1.5 and a 1.75 cttw 5 stone ring. Maybe BGD can take a photo of the two next to each other in a handshot so you can "see" for yourself!!

Went ahead and pulled the trigger this morning! Greedy me won, so I went with the Classic U Prong setting in platinum and BG Signature Ideal Diamonds totaling 1.748 CT. Super excited to see what kind of coverage that gives me on a 5.75 finger :naughty: :appl:

It's going to be gorgeous and I'll bet you will be glad you went with the bigger ones! Please share pictures when you receive it.
