Hi! I''m new to this section, and I have a question.
Recently, a friend mentioned that she saw a diamond with a pit?
I really want to know what that means, what a pit looks like etc.

Could be another term for cavity which is a polite word for hole! Sometimes these aren't as bad as they sound, especially in higher clarity diamonds. Or she could be referring to an external blemish on the diamond.
