Last week I posted a topic about shipping a diamond ring to Canada. I thought it was going to be an easy thing to do but turned out to be impossible as an individual to do with insurance. USPS would only insure upto $2500, Fedex 1000 and ups not at all.
My buyer in Canada was as patient as could be even though I was freaking out sitting on her bank wire and my DH was getting super nervous about me wanting to send it without insurance.
Well, Wink is the hero to this story. He had posted in the thread suggesting that I contact a board vendor and well I had worked with Wink before but not on big projects so it hadn't crossed my mind that he would be willing to do it. That being said he told me that he would be very happy to help and he immediately sent me a insured label to overnight the ring to him, ( this was last Tuesday). The next morning it arrived at his office and he shipped it right back out after completing all the customs paperwork and packaged it and sent it overnight, insured to Canada.
The package made it to Canada early on Thursday morning and had cleared customs by 11 and early Friday morning my buyer got my ring at 8 am!! and Inside was a very nice note from Wink !
I can't even believe it made it to her with just a day delay, Wink had the customs paperwork all done so there were no holdups!!!
I can't thank Wink enough, if you haven't worked with him you should!!! he is so kind and helpful.
