A smaller diamond in a Mark Morrell Sunburst?

How do ya''ll think this will look? By smaller I mean ~.75 carat. All the pictures I have seen of this setting make it look substastial, but I think this may be because it is zoomed in so much. Two things I love about the classic Tiffany is that the prongs are so delicate and do not dominate the diamond no matter how small the diamond is, and the low-set look.

The Sunburst is my setting of choice right now, but I am worried the prongs will overpower a smaller diamond. Are there any pictures of smaller diamonds in Mark Morrells? Does he make the entire setting smaller to fit the size of the diamond?

I am going to call Mark tomorrow, but I thought I would ask here.

I would call Mark. He is very nice and I don''t think he will lie to you about it. Also, on PS member got a MM sunburst a few weeks ago and had it made a bit more "delicate", so I think Mark will be willing to work with you on it.

I think it would look fantastic! Ditto what was said about MM working with you. Everything he does is custom, so he can make the ring exactly the way you want it.

Yes, he makes the size of the head to fit your diamond. But you do need to address it if you want smaller tips to the prongs because those heart prongs are pretty prominent.

I think that one elaineh posted was the one I was thinking of, guess it was a flame, oops! (Also a VERY VERY gorgeous choice!)

I talked to MM about his "Sue" design for my cushion awhile back and he was super super nice and willing to modify anything. So I''m sure if you call him he can help you out.

And I think a .75 would look LOVELY in that setting. But I agree about the prongs, might want to choose different ones or at least see if he can shave them down. They''re more prominent than other rings.
