I am having a pendant made.

I have an asscher, a round, and a radiant that will be incorporated into the piece. I am looking for one more stone to incorporate.

The round and asscher will "go together" somehow, and the Radiant will go with the fourth stone somehow.

I'm getting the piece custom made and don't have a design yet.

Based on the above stats, what do you think is the best shape to get for the fourth stone?
I'm leaning towards a cushion, oval, pear, heart or another round. Which of these do you think would work best?

Any input is appreciated.

I always like pears in pendants. They just look so elegant. It would be beautiful as the last stone in a line hanging from the
pointed end or a middle stone hanging from the rounded end.

I would stay away from a heart unless you are going for a more "fun" or "whimsical" look.

An oval would be pretty if you want more of a symmetrical look (vs. a pear).

Lots of options but without some design ideas its really hard to say which would be best.

I think the pear shape, with its point and heavy bottom, really lends itself to contributing to a composition.

I also vote for pear. I have a pendant with a round, pear, and kite set OMC. The pear is a great transition for the other two. Post pics!

You haven't told us about the size (or relative size) of the stones. Are you planning to build a drop-style necklace, and will you be using one of the stones you already have as the "terminal" stone, or are you looking to purchase the end stone? Or will you be using the four stones in more of a continuous "diamonds by the yard" type necklace? (Years ago a PS member made a DBTY-type necklace with four or five differently shaped stones. I doubt I could find the thread again - I wouldn't even know where to begin - but the final product was absolutely wonderful!)

All of the stones are 3-4mm.

Its going to be in a pendant. I don't know any more than that as I am trying to source the stones and then get the pendant made. None of the stones will be in the "chain". It would be a pendant that would hang on a chain. If you mean "terminal" as in central or key stone, then I would say there wouldn't be, but I would leave that up to the designer.

I'm open to any design, but I was just wondering based on the stones I already have, if there would be a shape that would work better. Could wait to ask the designer, but wanted PS's opinion too. Pear is winning for far it seems. But open to more input.

I would have a pear as the fourth stone, and would set all 4 stones in a line, round at the top, then the radiant, then the Asscher at an angle, followed by the pear.

DK :))
