Am I crazy for wanting to have a ring wardrobe? I have an OMC solitaire I recently discovered the world of wraps for, so I seem to want to own a bunch of wraps so I can love my solitaire in a different way every day if I want to. Like my antique looking wrap, maybe a wrap with emeralds for hubbys birthstone, an eternity band if i want to wear it simple.....

Does anyone else have many looks for their main ring?

Yes. I have a 7mm stone in a very plain temp setting, and while I had originally planed to get a Singlestone-style antique type setting (stone is cut like an OEC) I have found myself collecting antique stackers for a song off ebay. My wedding band is a plain YG domed band (ours match) so between it and my e-ring, they have a very stark, classic look, whereas I prefer something like SS or Van Craeynest's style.

So, I have stackers in YG, RG, and WG, ranging from antique floral band with milgrain, band with alternating sapphires and diamonds, two-tone antique band (one without stones, one with channel set princesses) and a plain RG skinny stacker. I can easily 'dress' my set up or down with the stackers because my set is so plain.

I may never reset it after all! :wink2:

If I had a smaller stone, I'd get this, because it's a nice take on that retro-style enhancer and I think the way they have combined the sapphires and diamonds is pretty: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ladies-Sapphire-Diamond-Wedding-Set-/250965381647?pt=US_Fine_Rings&hash=item3a6eb3d20f

Yay! Im not crazy! I think a solitaire may be way more fun than I originally thought cause the more I think about it, I have tons of options! Im so glad I went classic, cause I can do a million things with a stone I love without having to physically change the setting. Which of your looks is your fave?

Just curious where have you seen these? I saw some listed on Pearlman's website but they are so rude about them in their description that it turned me off from purchasing. I think its a fun idea but I haven't seen any in person.

A ring wardrobe? YEs please!
I love solitaires, because in my view they are so classy and classic...and they don't complain much about the company they keep, either!
They seem to look great with everything!

HAving said that, I have only one solitaire *cough* my wedding set, so I don't change it up...although for Christmas my husband surprised me with an eternity ring (actually it's a liddle five-stone but we call any post-wedding ring an 'eternity' over here,it's more romantic than the term 'anniversary' ;)) )

HOWEVER, when I get bored and lonely  I put my hand in front of my face and imagine a honking three-stone. I've never seen wraps over here - or online come to think of it, so it'd be interesting to see if they are obtainable 'over the counter'.

I love having a solitaire so that I can have multiple bands! I don't really care for wraps because I don't think they are as versatile as bands. But I do like to have some change and it is a lot cheaper to add a new band than it is to get a whole new wedding set!

I have around 25 stacker/wedding bands - that's not a typo! :o

Can I come over and play ??? :)

winternight.....I tend to find wraps at 2nd hand jewelry stores locally. The one my wrap came from only had a few though.

I want 25 stacker bands!!
I never was a solitaire girl, my omc is my first, but now that Im seeing all the options I can have for it, its actually much more interesting than I thought but still classic.

I hope wraps and different bands will be good for me until I figure out my forever ring in a few years after hubby gets out of school. Especially if my forever ring is a halo, as I may then struggle to have a ring wardrobe that works easily with it!

I need to find some good second hand shops! I'd love to see pics of your finds!
I thought I wanted a halo but am so glad I went with a classic solitaire.
I just love the clean lines and sleek look. Besides I can always dress it up with bands or a
right hand ring with a halo!

Winternight....all of my jewelry has been bought from 2nd hand places after we discovered in my first marriage the markup that goes on at chain stores....and alot of the time, I find pieces that are not so common that way!
