Scores well on the HCA. Can you get an idealscope image for it? That's the only way to know for sure if it is a top performer in the optics arena. Price doesn't seem like a "bargain" though.

I think it's a little over priced by several hundred.

I found two 'comps':

There is this one: http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-5156641-0.76-carat-Round-diamond-F-color-VVS2-Clarity.aspx?sku=5156641&utm_source=pricescope.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com And that one is also less expensive. The Clarity is even higher. And the HCA is still under 2. So... Yeah, I think the price is too high.

And then there is this one; http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-5143647-0.78-carat-Round-diamond-F-color-VVS2-Clarity.aspx?sku=5143647&utm_source=pricescope.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com

I'd say closer to 4000 is fair. 4500 too high.

But the question is, do you need those specs? You can go down to a G Si1 without any chance to the visual appearance of the diamond to the naked eye. So unless you need F VS1 for cultural reasons (some far east cultures value very high color and clarity), you can either spend less and get something very comparable in a G color and lower clarity. Or spend the same, and go up in size.

Just to post your options for you. At vendors that either have idealscopes posted, or can get them for you. Since that's the selection tool. Not the HCA.

This one: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3114512.htm?source=pricescope and save a little money and is still a VS1. Plus it's a Hearts and Arrows. And has WF's upgrade policy.

Or maybe even this one: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3025052.htm?source=pricescope And save a 900 bucks.

This one saves you over a 1000 bucks: http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.76-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-320028

http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.80-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-347563 Saves you money and hits 80 points.
