Hey everyone,

I recently bought an Yvonne Raley ring from a seller on Etsy, she told me she was selling some of her jewelry to help pay for care of a loved one. I figured I get a nice piece of jewelry, she gets the money she needs, everyone wins.

I shared that I was considering buying this ring in CS because I wanted to make sure it was a decent stone since I don't have much experience.

Today I get on Etsy to leave feedback for my ring and her shop is gone! I don't know what happened, so I started pouring over rules for Etsy sellers and it states there is no reselling and I'm thinking that someone reported the shop and Etsy took it down.

If that is the case I feel horrible, I only shared the shop information when I was asked in the thread to drum up more sales. It never occurred to me that it could have negative repercussions for the seller. Of course I might be jumping to conclusions, I just don't know what to think.

I do not know why you think that Etsy took this vendor's shop down, let alone that you might have caused it, StephanieLynn. It sounds pretty farfetched to me. I would just put it out of your head. I think the owners of Etsy probably have far more important things to do than to patrol the Internet looking to see if vendors are selling their own, old belongings. Especially if it isn't a vendor with an enormous volume of sales and many, many complaints against him. Also: one mention on an obscure website (sorry, Pricescope) wouldn't reach the ears of Etsy management instantaneously!

Hugs,
Deb :wavey:

I hear you Deb, it was just very coincidental but I managed to email the seller and she didn't seem greatly concerned and said she would "fix it". So, I have no idea what that means but I guess it was just a coincidence afterall.

I am very glad to hear it, StephanieLynn!
