A possible fishe eye?

Well, I would not buy that diamond. It is an I Si1 with an EGL report, and EGL reports are unreliable as to their grading, so it is likely that its stats are being exaggerated to you. In order to find a diamond of comparable size and price that is GIA-graded, using the Pricescope diamond search, I have to go down to stats of K I2. So it is more likely that that particular diamond is a K I2 and is not eyeclean, which is why it is selling at less than half the price of truly-graded I Si1s. If it was truly, by GIA-standards, an I Si1, even with that cut problem you mentioned, they would be selling it for at least $8000. That it is half that price implies that there is something wrong with it that means they would never be able to sell it at that price. That it is not a good cut either makes it so that I wouldn't even risk buying it to see.
