need crown and pavilion angle.

Also, i personally don''t like large tables but you may. If I were you, I''d try to find a hearts on fire dealer to see what an ideal cut stone looks like. Then you can get a better idea of what you like.

As compared to this stone? Which do you think may be the better deal?

Price: $17,125
Carat weight: 1.76
Cut: Ideal
Color: G
Clarity: VS1
Price per carat: $9,730
Depth %: 61.5%
Table %: 58%
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Girdle: Medium to slightly thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 7.77 x 7.74 x 4.77 mm

Once again, crown and pavillion angles are needed on both stones. How well these two angles compliment each other is critical to how a diamond performs. They will be listed on the grading report.

Ditto

Ok, the other two diamonds are from bluenile, so they dont list the pavillion/crown %''s. Do you not recomend buying from bluenile? Here is another diamond I am looking at:

. Carat: 1.572
. Depth %: 61.6
. Table %: 57.2
. Crown Angle: 34.9
. Crown %: 15
. Star : 53
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.9
. Lower Girdle %: 76
. Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick Faceted
. Measurements: 7.43-7.45X4.59
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible

The crown and pav angles will be in the report even if the do not list it.

I would prefer to buy a stone with at least an Idealscope/ASET image to confirm light return of the stone and BN do not provide that. Unless you are buying a stone that is very rare, which your specs does not appears to be, or you really like a particular BN setting, you should be able to find similar priced stone of the same specs somewhere else that provides images of the stone.

BN are a good vendor, they just don't supply the images that many discerning buyers want such as ASET or Idealscope. If you look on the grading reports, the angles should be there on the diamond diagram, look to the right of the report - you will need to click on the report to open it then you should find the info. The diamond above shows potential.

I''m leaning towards going with this diamond... any final suggestions from anyone?

this appears to be a very well cut stone that''s an AGS0. If the price is good, I would get it, then take it to an appraiser and get his opnion.

Good idea...how much does an aprasial cost? I'd be paying a little less than 16500 for the stone which is within my 16-17 budget. Does that sound like a reasonable price?

It depends on the type of appraisal you want, I would say as a very rough estimate as prices will have risen, around $150 and up depending on how in depth you want to go.

Don''t worry its fine to ask - can you just remind me again of the colour and clarity for this one please?

It''s a VS2, F. I''ve had their gemolgist check it for me and its eye-clean. It''s Hearts and Arrows also.

Here is the IS also!
