I recalled some PS requests for photos of the family this weekend. As luck would have it, Paul and Griet were present when I was out kicking it with Fabian, Antwerp-style.

We had a great breakfast and walk through the city. I was not nearly as stylish as my Belgian friends, but fall Sundays are NFL days for me, and recognize no international boundries.

One of the gifts I carried from America was a beautiful baby blanket, hand-made by Wink''s wife... Fabian immediately wanted to try it out.

John! You never cease to amaze me! Those photos are absolutely wonderful! They are beyond wonderful! The family is gorgeous! Thank you! Thank you! For taking them and posting them! And thank you, Paul, for being such a good sport and allowing John to photograph and post photos of your entire family!

It was so kind of Wink's wife to make a blanket. And, of course, she must be talented. How did she make it? I did see that Fabian was enjoying it! He has grown so nicely! I love his head. It makes me want to have a baby again...but I am afraid I must wait to be a grandmother. Or else just hold other people's babies!

A big thank-you going out to Paul, Griet, Fabian and John! Everyone looks so healthy and happy! The baby blanket made by Wink''s wife is gorgeous. Any baby (or grownup) would be happy to snuggle under that one.

Just finally got to see this. About the only thing softer than that blanket is the baby''s skin. Glad to see that Sir Fabian was pleased.

She is a weaver and she makes only about four of these blankets a year. I forget how many hundreds of threads are in the warp, but there are many, and the material is tencel which is washable and will wear for many years.

P.S. I just called my wife and she informs me that the warp has way more than a thousand threads as does the weft.

Thank you dear Lady. I called my wife just now and shared everyone''s comments with her, she was very touched and thanks you all.

Paul has been such a wonderful friend and blessing in my life and Resa always enjoys it so much when he is here. She volunteered the blanket when she found that the baby was coming, which was a mark of how much she too treasures Paul''s friendship. I can not wait to actually meet the mother and baby.
