My fiance''s coworker is going to propose to his girlfriend and asked us for help on finding a diamond since "you guys did so well" buying off the internet for mine. Well, he wants a princess cut for her and I only know rounds! I understand that princess diamonds are much more subjective and I''m really not familiar with the appropriate stats for one. My immediate action was to go look at the Whiteflash ACA princesses, but none of them are in budget. His budget for the diamond is 2k and under. I looked around on James Allen and there are a few, and I looked around on exceldiamonds and there are a ton, but I just can''t figure out what makes one any better than the other.

For example, is this one any good? http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1276262.asp

Hi ts!

Not enough info on the above diamond regrettably, images are essential for Princess and the basic photo isn''t available for this diamond. If 2k is the budget for your friend''s diamond, would you like some suggestions for him? Is the 2k just for the stone? What size is he hoping for?

I would love some suggestions Lorelei. :) I''m not sure what size he''s going for but let''s just assume we want to max out size for the budget, but he is not willing to go lower than a G and possibly a H. He doesn''t care about clarity as long as it''s eye-clean.

Ebree, thank you! That one didn''t pop up because I searched under $2,000 but I forgot that wire discounts and Pricescope discounts might bring a borderline stone under $2,000.
