I am new to the the jewelry scene and want to know if this is a good deal:

UGL Certified
1 CT
Round Cut
14 kt white gold setting
Clarity Enhanced
H Color
I 1 Clarity
for $500...

*No, I am not selling this- thinking of buying it and wondering if it is worth the money. Thanks in advance!

Some peoples idea of I-1 looks like a sugar cube. Excuse me, a clarity enhanced sugar cube. Have you seen this stone in person? Is it pretty or are you going strictly on the paperwork?

Going strictly by Paperwork, it's an online buy. Also going by seller's reputation. I have heard UGL overgrades, but I figure 500 for a diamond that others are charging 2500 for should be good... right?

My guess is that it will look not so good. Okay, being honest it will be ugly. So my question is why even waste $500 on it? Do you just care about getting a 1 carat diamond? This stone will surely be full of inclusions and yellowish (not because it is an H, but because it is undoubtably lower than that and very poorly cut).

I would like to get a big diamond and not spend thousands of dollars. But from what I am learning, a big CZ might be a better idea when I want something flashy and I''ll keep my higher quality smaller diamond.

Oh yes, I would rather spend the money on a gemstone or on a very nice simulated diamond. That thing won''t even be pretty to look at.
