Today I went to this vintage shop in town that is closing and spotted The Beatles bobbleheads in the original box from the 60's. I thought those look cool, I could resell those in my shop. Had to wait for one of the owners to come back from lunch so I hung out for a while with my two kids in tow.
The owner comes up and she is very hesitant, which I think is strange, she is unsure whether she should sell them and I say to her that I know most stuff is half off but I can give you a little more for this. Then I say I could do like $30 and she looks at me and says "you realize the sticker on the box is $3,500"
Um no, I thought I was haggling over $35 not $3,500, so I laughed and said well I guess that's the end of that negotiation. I came home and told DH and said "see I'm getting better at haggling I tried to get a $3,500 item for $30"
