Hi I''m a complete diamond newbie (okay I know what the 4 C''s stand for, but that''s about it). I''m thinking of spending 2k online a diamond solitaire necklace, is this a realistic budget? can I find anything nice for a decent necklace? and can you recommend some good sites to buy? only thing I know is blue nile thanks so much!

I would check out Whiteflash if it were me. They can make anything for you and have great customer service. Their ACA and ES stones are almost always winners too.

The great thing about buying from WF or Good Old Gold is that you can always upgrade the stone later if you wish. That peace of mind is worth a lot to me.

2k is a great budget and you can get a very nice diamond pendant online. If it were me, I''d shop at Whiteflash too. There are lots of settings to choose from. I love the ''Bellerina'' pendant. Put a ES or ACA diamond in there and you are set. Yum!

Just wanted to say that your budget is pretty healthy for a lovely pendant. Ditto what others have said about WF stones, they are gorgeous. I have 5 ACA stones in my wedding band and they are beautiful, sparkle like crazy.
