For me, I might play around with other fonts...and formatting...maybe some wording. I might word it this way (below)...centered. Are you hosting the cocktails/apps? If so, I might add "Please join us for..." or "Please allow us to welcome you and join us for..."

i like that wording too, ROL. for me the layout is great! but there was something w/the wording that felt "off."
