Hi everyone.

I haven't posted much on here, but I began lurking when I was looking for my new diamond for my e-ring. I was looking for a J or a K (thanks in no small part to the Js in platinum thread!) Princess, and it had to be a fireball! Well I have since purchased the diamond, and had it mounted in a platinum ring a couple of months ago. But I still haven't been able to leave PS! I think you have all helped to begin a very expensive habit for me

So anyway, I thought I would FINALLY post the details of the diamond I selected and the ring that I had made.

But before I post any pictures, I need to say an ENORMOUS (and I'm sorry it's so belated) thank you to everyone who helped me in my journey to buy a beautiful diamond sight-unseen. From those who responded to my (very few) posts on the forum (especially the Infinity crew - Paul, Wink, Bill) to the rest of the community for helping me learn so much, so quickly!

But the biggest thanks needs to go to Gary Dutton from Dutton's Diamonds - his patience and his eagerness to help me made this terrifying process an absolute pleasure! As I'm sure you can understand, I had nightmares about buying such an expensive and personal thing as a diamond sight-unseen from the other side of the world (I'm in New Zealand). But I can say without any exaggeration that this process was a joy - thank you Gary! I can only hope that WHEN (hehe, none of this "if" business) I buy another diamond that I have the fortune to work with Gary again.

So thank you for your patience, and here images :) Sorry, there are a lot, and I don't know how to upload them

Hi Pen - thanks for your kind words - it was a pleasure being able to reach half way around the world to help out - nice pics!

Wow! Thanks for posting the fab pictures. These idealized princess cuts make more and more elbow room for themselves... and it is easy to see why!

Valeria, the setting is one I had made at a manufacturing jeweller here in Auckland (New Zealand). They are called Jeweller''s Workshop. They did an amazing job, and from a few very loose descriptions from me they managed to make the setting exactly as I''d pictured it. I''m still SO pleased with it!

Cheers,
Penny

Princess fan here!
What a beautiful stone and setting. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Pennells,

Thank you for the vote of confidence in our company and in our product. You truly have an amazing stone.

What strikes me in the comments however, is that nobody noticed that this is a K-colour. Don''t you think that the stone handles the colour very well?

Once again, thanks,

Hi Penny,
I''m so glad to see how nicely everything worked out. That stone is yet another testament to Paul''s dedication to excellence. I would never guess that was a K color. And that ring design is very complimentary to the stone.
Kind regards,
Bill Scherlag
