Hi. My husband upgraded my diamond from a 1/2 CT to a 1.24 CT, SI, H, GIA cert diamond.
Everything is fine until I played with the AGS grading system and found that my stone is only a 3A. Table is 60%, Depth is 68.1%, Crown is 37%, Pavilion is 45.7%, and Girdle is Medium to Very Thick. Also, when I looked at the stone I see the bowtie effect (but not if I look through a white sheet of paper as suggested). Is 3A a bad stone? We paid $4300 for my diamond with a 14K/Plat prongs setting.
I appreciate your comment.
