Hallo there!

I've decided to let go one of my diamonds and one of my rings.

The diamond is a gorgeous Blue Nile Astor Ideal .96 F SI1 stone - copy of the paperwork is attached below. It's a stellar diamond and definitely top shelf. It was one of the center diamonds in my cluster earrings, but has sat, unset, for a while now. $5800

The second piece is my Jeff White rubellite cluster / halo. The stone is 10 x 8mm (2.83ct) and the diamonds and 6 pointers, colorless, eye clean and excellent cut, approximately 3/4 ctw, in 18kt yellow gold. $2499

Photos coming....

.96ct F SI1 Blue Nile Astor Ideal - $5800. My only issue with this is that it's in my home in LA and I am currently in Massachusetts. I will be returning in 2 1/2 weeks and will be able to ship it next day. Definitely in time for Christmas! Including the tax I paid, I'm selling this for $1000 less than I paid for it.

Oooo @mrs-b , do you have some plans up your sleeve? Usually when you sell stuff it means you’re working on a project!

I do have a plan! It's called 'getting rid of all the stuff I'm not wearing'!

As for new jewelry projects - no - nothing new in the pipeline. I'm actually fairly happy with where I am with my jewelry and don't see any large projects in the future.

LoupeTroop listing for diamond:

I mention in this write-up that this diamond is on par with my WF ACA diamonds, and I stand by that. It's a gorgeous diamond and would be perfect for someone looking for a solitaire of this size.

Here are a couple of diamond comps. Firstly, there aren't a lot of comparison diamonds, as most diamonds of this size are massaged to come in over a ct by compromising on their cut.

1) There is an F VS2 .91ct Expert Selection diamond on the WF website for $6795 / $6592 (wire) - both pre tax. It's a little smaller than mine and altho it's a VS2, Astor Ideal diamonds are guaranteed to be eye clean.

2) There is an H SI1 .90ct ACA for $5352 / $5192 (wire) without tax. It, again, is smaller than mine, but also warmer.

3) There is a .99ct F SI1 on Blue Nile, *not* an Astor Ideal. This is a poorly cut stone and unappealing to my eye. It's $5836 / $5748 (wire) without tax. Cut shallow, its diameter is 1/10th of a mm wider.

4) There is a well cut .99ct F SI1, also *not* an Astor Ideal, $7016 / $6910 (wire) without tax. It's the same diameter as mine but markedly more included.

5) Back to WhiteFlash, there is a .9ct G SI1 for $5513 / $5348 (wire), without tax. This is a little smaller, both in ctw and diameter, one color grade warmer, and a little more included.

Numbers 1, 4 and 5 are the closest comparisons, given color, eye cleanliness, and size, with #5 being the closest. The diamond I'm selling is definitely up to being a solitaire in a ring setting. It's a gorgeous, clean, WHITE diamond - beautifully cut.

I hope this helps anyone looking for comps.

After doing the above comps, just to put a little more space between my diamond and that G SI1 on the WF site, I'm dropping the price to $5200. It's now $1600 less than what I paid for it - 25% off.

man, I'm not even looking for a MRB right now, and I am so tempted by this diamond -- gorgeous colorless almost 1 carat diamond with top performance and such a great price -- sending dust for quick sale mrs-b =)2

Thank you, @marymm. It's a gorgeous diamond - definitely stand alone / solitaire quality. Would also make a killer pendant or (as was the case for me) one of a pair of amazing studs.

Definitely one for people who want a WHITE diamond that looks exactly like a 1ct stone.

Now you have me all curious as to your plan…=)2

No secret - I'm just doing a little three stone. I bought 2 x .41ct ACAs from WF last week - both F VS2 - and this stone will go in the center. Yellow gold shank, platinum head. Small and sweet.

I'm sort of reproducing the three stone I first had when I came to PS, but with slightly tweaked stats. The previous ring had a .83ct center, and .46ct and .47ct sides. The three stones were all ideal cut, all F, 1 x VS1, 1 x VS2 and 1 x SI1 - 1.76ctw. On the new one, the sides will be smaller and the center will be larger and the total ctw will be 1.78! So - pretty close! I've always regretted giving up that ring, so this is to scratch that itch. :)
