Emerald cut diamond solitaire with wedding band

I am in the lovely position of being able to choose my own engagement ring.

I really love EC solitaires but would not choose this if I thought the wedding band could not sit well with it, leaving a gap.

I also like three stone diamond rings but would want a really subtle and elegant setting.

THis will be my first ring with stones, so am a bit lost and would really appreciate your advice!

as long as you design it to sit flush/pick a setting that clears the band, there is no problem.

Hi! I just got my emerald cut re-set as a solitaire and the setting I chose will not allow my wedding band to sit flush, but it isn''t a problem at all to get a setting that allows for that. Best wishes! Let us know what you come up with!

Mine sits flush. I think it is b/c the band on my e-ring is wider (6mm).

Just pick a setting that allows for the wedding band to sit flush. Basically it needs to sit slightly higher and the gallery needs to curve inwards towards the band like this: http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=109 (not an emerald cut, but you get the idea)
