7.5mm stone, 7 or 8 mm pendant setting?

Hey there,

I have a 7.5mm white round topaz I would like to try setting myself in silver. Unfortunately pendant settings only come in 7 or 8 mm. Would it be better to go bigger or smaller?

It is probably safer for you to choose the 8 mm setting so you don’t experience depth issues. If the prongs are really long, you might be able to squeeze it into the 7 mm setting but it will sit up higher.
