My grandparents celebrate 61 years of marriage today.
In those 61 years, they have had 7 children, one passed away.
They have 21 grand children and 23 great-grandchildren. They''re both in their late 70s.
They''re from Puerto Rico but there is no getting them out of New York, not even tempting them with the beautiful Florida sun

My grandfather tells my grandmother to dance with him and she says "leave me alone, I''m busy"

He calls her young lady, she still packs him a sandwich for his morning walks (for some reason my grandfather feels the need to walk all around Brooklyn every morning lol) and laughs at all of his jokes.
My grandfather is a very romantic man. He doesn''t believe in buying gifts to show love, instead he writes letters. Sometimes it''s a long letter telling her how much he appreciates her, how she''s his sunshine, other times it''s short and to the point: I love you. My grandmother is a firecracker. Very sharp and when he tells her these things she tells him to stop being ridiculous as she has a huge smile on her face and blushes. They still hold hands.
My grandmother gets sicker every day. We are not sure if she will live to see 2011. They are both very much aware of this but we''re the ones that seem to be stressed out over it. My grandparents take life as it comes and enjoy their time here.
