Hi Everyone,
I have found a 60/60 type diamond that I am considering for my upgrade.
I understand this cut is not everyone's cup of tea or preference on PS, but I am wondering if those of you who do like 60/60's think this is a nice diamond? It does have a passing HCA score. I have also noticed as I have been plugging number in to the HCA that most 60/60 types will score a "Very Good" for scintillation, but this one scored a "Excellent" for some reason. Price is right around $4,600. What do you think?
Thanks in advance!

Beautiful stone. It has a lot going for it, nice colour, clarity, & pattern. Great spread & price. Honestly, if you hadn't of mentioned it was 60-60, it wouldn't have occurred to me to just look at it. ;-) Sure looks like it sparkles from edge to edge as it catches light while it rotates in the video. :appl:

+1. It looks like a really nice stone. I think you need to see it in person and see if it is for you coz only you can make the call. But imo, it looks really nice, with nice size arrows, not too skinny......60/60 stones has a tendency for skinny arrows.

I have a 60/60 stone with 34.5/40.8 angles. It has a crown height of 14 and I love it as much if not more than my Tolk stone. :o ;))

Get an idealscope image for it

ccuheartnurse -I'm glad to hear you think it's beautiful stone. Something about this one grabs my attention a little more than the others I have on hold. It's interesting to hear that this one doesn't look like a typical 60/60.

Diamondbug - It's nice to know you like your 60/60 so much and maybe more than your Tolk. It's funny you mentioned the crown height of your stone is 14. This one I have on hold has a crown height of 13.5 which is a little lower than yours and I was actually wondering if anyone would think a crown height that low could be a issue?

ecf8503 - I have requested a idealscope image for this one. The problem is that I had already sent in my request for idealscopes on three other diamonds and then came across this one. JA offers three idealscopes per purchase, but they are going to check with the manager to see if they can do a fourth idealscope on this diamond for me this one time. Fingers crossed that they say yes.
Is a idealscopes image absolutely necessary before moving forward with purchasing a diamond?

Thanks so much!

Post all 4 and we can help you get rid of one if it comes to that.

Thanks for the offer JulieN!
I asked them Friday evening if I could remove one of the three from my original request (the one I favored the least of that group) and have this one evaluted instead in it's place. I was told that it's too late to make any changes because the other three have already been called in and are ready to be evaluated on Monday. They did tell me when I originally talked to them to have the other three evaluated that I would be unable to make any changes once I placed the request, so I knew it in advance, but was still hoping they might be able to work something out to do a side by side comparison with this one. If they do approve the extra idealscope on this one, I was told they wouldn't be able to do a side by side comparison with the others due to the 3-5 day wait time for evaluations, and since the other three can only be on hold for 24 hours after I receive the results.
