So, as many of you know, I am still on the quest for the perfect setting for my relatively new 2 ct RB. I used to have an asscher in this setting, and I just plopped my RB in this old one until I decided on what I really want. I have been really loving Leon''s "v-shape pave," but I keep wondering if just a simple 6-prong TIffany-style solitaire is the way to go, so that I can wear it with my original wedding band, or a pave band, or a shared-prong or scattered diamond band. The other option is a 3-stone round, so it would provide sparkles all over the top of the finger, but still be a sturdy setting. I guess I''m afraid that if I get the Leon I''ll be afraid to wear it, but won''t mind knocking around a plain platinum setting. However, will I then miss the ooh-la-la sparkle factor of a fancy setting? Decisions, decision. Here are pics of the two types of settings I''m considering. Please let me know what you would get! Thanks! P.S. - hope you gus don''t mend me using pics of your lovely rings - I wish I could have one of each - they''re all so gorgeous! You know, some jeweler needs to invent "interchangeable settings" - so you could pop your diamond into a different one each day!
