The Kim Kardashian of China got married in a 30 mil dollar wedding and got a 6 ct diamond. What do you think? I kinda like the design!

No offence to those who like it but it looks like a spider to me. I know spiders don't look like that so I have no idea why I keep seeing a spider when I see the design.

Thanks.

Now I see a spider too.

Spiders aside, it is a cool ring. I hope she has a backup ring for when that one's just not practical, though.

Not a fan of the look.
The mechanical design is a disaster waiting to happen.

The pear extends too far from the ring.
If, rather when, the far end of the pear catches on something the metal 'basket' holding the pear is going to snap off where it meets the ring.

I immediately saw a spider, too.

i dont really like the ring..i would take the pear and set in as solitaire or pave setting ;)

I didn't see a spider and now I do  Anyway beautiful pear, the rest of the design although currently in fashion would be a pain in the backside to wear, I imagine it catching in everything and would also be worried about the main stone snapping off, so I am not sure how a design like that works with a stone that large....... Having said that with that amount of money to throw around perhaps it's only going to be worn on dress up occasions anyway and there are other rings as well.

Very interesting design. I imagine if someone took a picture of it to Leon, he could outdo it.

"The Kim Kardashian of China" made me laugh. Who is that?

Though I usually don't like pears, I like this ring because it looks like a tiara. However, I don't like it for practical purposes because it looks like it will snag on things.

I wonder what the expensive wedding included and who she married.

It's not my style, but I can appreciate the unique nature of the design

She married the leading male actor in China. I would wear it in a much smaller version.

I really like it for a dress ring, but not for an everyday engagement ring. I can just imagine it catching on everything! I didn't see a spider when i looked at it - like someone else, I saw a tiara. I think it's pretty with a touch of Romanov about it.

The Kim K. of China - very funny! I wonder who this person is.

Edit: Just seen AprilBaby's response above - she's an actor's wife.

April, you mentioned that you'd have a smaller version - well, I think Chaumet makes tiara-design rings. I'm sure I've seen them on the Chaumet website. You could get one of those!

30 mil wedding and only 6cts?

I like it. It reminds me of rings from the 19 century that sort of stretched out down your finger. I assume she only wears it for very
special occasions.

Niel, that is exactly what I thought when I first saw this! Could have put a bit more towards the ring and made it at least 10 carats lol.

Is that being worn on the middle finger of her right hand? Maybe it's not the wedding ring and just a fancy ring?

Edit update: I think in China women they wear their rings on opposite hands (men left, women right) - is that correct?

I'd rather a 30mil diamond and 6mil wedding

Totally thought the same thing
Kims ring (new) is 15 ct, $8M (D, FL)

Their wedding 'only' cost $12M

^Yes, but if you add up all three of her weddings, she easily hits the 30 million dollar mark (some sources say closer to 50 million)...

Pear looks nice.

EXACTLY my thought as well...$30 million for one weekend and then a measly 6 ct diamond for the rest of her life e-ring? CWAZY!

I have seen antique rings similar to that. Definitely not what I'd choose for a modern e-ring, and I do not at all like an e-ring on the middle finger.

Haha true. I don't think her first one cost a lot (I think they did vegas?) but yeah, I don't doubt she gets close to that! I googled it, and 12M was the number that came up - it actually seems a little low for how extravagent it was, but what do I know!

Are you ****ing kidding me? This wasn't even her real wedding?
"They originally married in private five months ago."

That's just disgusting. I know I've talked about it before, but JFC that's absurd.

Anyways, I can see why it would cost so much - 2000 guests, that's a lot to feed.

Actually, it is quite pretty.

I am not a fan of the ring design. IMO The band would be great by itself and the pear as a solitaire would be awesome. That cake is something!

I've had 2 other friends do that, both because they were from one country, the other person from another. It doesn't take away from the wedding, if the couple considers the marriage license a formality.

A WEDDING is when two people get MARRIED. To get married, a marriage license is required. A party does not make someone married. Even a 30M party. A marriage license makes someone married. A marriage license is what legally gives a couple the benefits of being married. If you want to throw a party and wear a pretty dress and eat cake that's cool, but that isn't what makes you married.
