6 Brown Diamonds, Which do you like best?

All these six have full GIA reports with clarity grading.
Please pay no attention to size or price.
Which do you feel has the most pleasing color and which has the best cut for light performance (as if it were a colorless diamond)?
(I realize you may say one stone has the best color and another has the best cut, just say so)

I realize fancy colored diamonds are cut to optimize the color, not the light performance.
But now that these are cut, ignore that they are colored diamonds and just judge the cut as if they were cut for light performance.
Colored diamonds can still have good or bad light performance.
Yes, I will ask the vendor, but I'm asking you too.

#5 Is the one I would consider.

It looks like it will be lively enough while still maintaining color in most light. The proportions look fine to me (I'm no cut expert).

A close second place would be #2.

I don't like overly dark stones but those two are rich and chocolatey.

I like #5, #2, maybe #1. Can you get the seller to make a video for you with all the diamonds next to each other? Photos are static and you really can't judge from one photo.

I can't comment about performance, but my favorite color-wise is the first. Maybe it's because I've been having some issues lately with stones appearing darker in person than their photos led me to believe they would be, but I think all of these will probably appear darker in person, so I'd go with a lighter one that would still look like a colored diamond but not overly dark.

I cannot comment on performance either, but I will tell you to avoid ones that are overly dark. For example, I don't care at all for b0.44 SI2 dark orangy borwn.jpg. I like #1 a lot for the cutting , and the color. #5 looks a little too deep, and that might cause some extinction in the stone. I see a little there now. Too bad you can't get videos of them.

I like #1 and #5 but I see eyes looking at me in that pic of #5 and it's kind of creeping me out.

If you can find a nice deep orangy brown, they can be really amazing

For colour I would choose #5 then #2. I like the colour of #1 but suspect that the cut will wipe out some of the colour around the edges and the main colour will be in the central part of the gem which is why it's not on my list. I would think 5 and 2 will also perform the best but in all honesty it's absolutely impossible to know for sure.

I actually like the look of #4 (the orange attracts me) but it looks too dark and therefore performance will be affected.

I like #5 the best because it seems to be the liveliest based on the faceting, crystal and tone of color. The others ones appear too dark or they don't seem to have much dimension to them.

Don't take this the wrong way, but do you like them uncut too?
There are quite a lot of nice ones here and often they can be had in both interesting colors (like way orangy or fine yello) and shapes:

I have gotten ten uncut diamonds (one a 1.54 carat pale yellow flawless), a mehenge spinel crystal and some monster topazes here.

Many of those rough cut diamonds are very very cool.

I am not a knowledgeable sophisticated collector.
I doubt I'd ever have the comfort level (with regards to price) to buy one since the big labs do not grade rough.
How do I know it is what they say it is?
Trust?
I'd rather depend on my own knowledge which is sorely lacking, so I don't think I'd wade into these waters.
But looking is eciting.

I'm very sensitive to being overcharged for things.
I'm not saying I never have; I'm just saying value is all about perception and comps, and buying is all about comfort level.

Plus the typical customer for rough is a cutter/pro, not me so I'd suspect the price is greatly increased when selling to the public like this.
Some of those rough diamonds sell for around what I'd expect polished of that weight to sell for, and aren't yields around 50%?

I really like everything about this ring with a yellow diamond crystal.

Oh Kenny, I like that ring a lot too! It almost looks as though the stone has been routered out to make little grooves for the 2 prongs to set in to, though Im sure that is not the case.

Actually looking at the face up photo, #6 is not bad.
