Hey everyone
35.gif

While I patiently wait for my wedding, I have been thinking of my next project, which I would love to be a 5 stone ring from BGD more than likely. I want to get some price ideas before I start hiding money away in my sock drawer from FI

For those of you that have one, do you mind sharing ballpark figures? Stone sizes etc.

I was thinking of a petite one, roughly 2.5mm in width, would I be correct in guessing I need 10 or 15 pointers?

Any guidance, ideas, pics would be greatly appreciated! TIA

I think a 10 pointer stone is too big for a 2.5mm ring.

According to this chart, a 6 pointer will have a 2.5mm diameter.

my stones are .15pt each and my ring is around 3.3 wide at the top and it tapers down to 2.6 at the bottom, i cant give you a ballpark figure as i got mine off ebay.

Ok, I'll disclose...mine is .81 ctw 16/17 ptrs in platinum cost was about $2200 from a local family owned jewelry store.

My pear is 1.08 for reference and I wear a 6.5. Sorry this pic is so big...need to resize

iI you want more info the link to my SMTR there is here.

Hi Honey, I'm thinking with 5 or 6 pointers. which are 2.4 and 2.5 mm in width. Plus there's metal. So... your looking 2.5 or 2.6 width set probably assuming you aren't bezeling htem. I have 7 pointers in my seven stone band and set which are 2.7 mm, the ring is 3.0 mm. My ring was my mothers, before me, so I can't give you a price either. Sorry.

Also with 5 or 6 pointers I would go to a seven stone band for more coverage. Unless you are thinking of individual bezels. If you want 10 pointers (which would be gorgeous) stick to 5 stones, but the ring width isn't going to be 2.5 mm and isn't going to be petite.

Can't wait to see you new project!

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/dreamers-baby-ring.118045/ This is dream's 11 stone by BGD. Which has me seriously confused as the stones are 5 pointers but... the ring is 2.3 mm...

. I'm thinking maybe dream meant 2.5mm where the diamonds are and 2.3 everywhere else cause otherwise the numbers don't work, I'm thinking.

I asked for the price on this one (as I'm thinking of getting two as stackers) and the price depended on the melee color and clarity but it was reasonable. Like... 1200-1400 in white gold I think?? And that's for 11 stones.

Gypsy! You are an enabler girl!

I totally see what you mean. A 5 stone ring would need to have larger stones for coverage, but then would be wider than I anticipated.

A seven stone ring would give me the coverage, and also the desired thickness.

I need to try some on here in Melbourne to see what kind of look I want to go with. It''s definately and firming on my wishlist now, but I am positive it won''t be until late next year, maybe a first anni present if I am lucky?

The price is excellent!! And BGD pieces are just freakin gorgeous, I just know this is going to cost me money
