I''m looking at 5 stone rings to be worn as a wedding band. My solitaire tiffany style engagement ring is 1.01 ct. I don''t want the wedding band to overpower the ering but I want it to cover my finger so the metal on the side doesn''t show. What size pointers do you think would work best? or should I move to a 7 stone ring. I wear ring size 7

Thanks for you help

Do you have a budget?

My five stone is made up of .50-.54 stones. My ring size is also 7 but i had the ring made in a 7 1/2 as i wear it with a wide wedding band.
The problem with smaller stones, is the coverage for our size. The 1/2ct cover the top half of my finger and you can''t really see the metal from the sides.
Smaller stones wouldn''t have given me that coverage.
If you don''t want it to overpower your e-ring, get 7 or 9 stones that are smaller. Try some on at a local store to see what looks best.

I agree, go try some on locally to see what looks best on you. What you are comfortable with, etc...

Thanks Elle and Swingirl.

Swingirl we don''t have a strict budget just don''t want to go over $5000

If if went with a 7 or 9 stone ring what point size do you think would be the smallest that would still cover well?

Elle could you post a pic of your rings on your finger? Thanks

Sure. This is it with my wedding band.
