Hello all,
I'm a new PS member and this is my first post, but I've been lurking the site for a while now. After seeing some of the beautiful 5 stone rings in the 5 stone thread, I ordered one from a vendor that a lot of PSers have used. I had the ring appraised today and while the appraiser said I got a very good deal for what I paid, the diamonds are apparently not what I asked for.
What I thought purchased was a 5 stone with 45 pointers with excellent cut, FG color and SI (eyeclean) clarity. The appraiser said the diamonds were an I color and SI1-SI2 clarity, good cut. They are uncerted stones. The ring is very sparkly and beautiful, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. What should I do and how do I bring this up to the vendor? They were very helpful and patient during the purchasing process and I really do love the ring, but I'm not sure how I feel about it given this information.
