Hi all!

So after doing a little shopping with my future wife, she found a wedding set that she really likes over at Jared (I know, I know, they''re the devil ;-)) This is the set she likes (unfortunately, they only have a top down image on their site):

She wears a 4.75 size ring, and I''m looking at getting a 0.9 - 1.0 carat RB center for the e-ring (with both in white gold). I''m looking to spend no more than $7,000 on the E-Ring.

I''m looking at purchasing this diamond from WF:
https://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-912906.htm

I do have a couple of questions though.

1. Would the band or side stones on the e-ring ''overpower'' the center stone since it''s only around 1 carat?
2. What size side stones would be good to not overpower the center on the e-ring? on the band?
3. Would it be realistic to wear both together on a daily basis?
4. This diamond rates a 0.7 on the HCA, but falls outside the AGS0 Outline, but WF has it listed as AGS0 on the report. What''s the deal? (Is this one a AGS000?)
5. WF only has a 5-stone band, but not a 5-stone e-ring. Does it cost much more to go custom? (Why don''t they have a 5-stone e-ring?)
6. Will B&M stores mount an internet purchased diamond if WF charges a lot?
7. Would it be better to drop down in clarity or color for a slightly larger stone?

The pic isn''t showing up!

1/2. with a .9 ct, I'd go with 5 pointers as a medium size. adjust accordingly to tastes. a 1 ct can go with 6 pointers.
3. daily is fine. doing rough work with it is not.
4. the AGS0 outline is a guideline, but you can still get 0 outside of the border.
5. You don't have 5 stone e-rings. They have 4 stones...shouldn't cost a lot.
6. Yes.
7. if you want.

I''ll let our experts answer the diamond questions, but thanks to recent expierence I can help you out on those two.

Just call or email WF and tell them what you want. It certianlly costs more to go custom, but sometimes they have what you want and you just don''t know it. I started to do a custom setting and their design team told me I was basiccally makeing soemthing they already stocked...for lots cheaper.

As for the B&M setting your stone, some places will do it for free if you buy a setting from them, but most charge. Jared quoted me a price over 200 bucks to set my stone in one of their plat settings, making them about 100 dollars more expensive then everyone else.

Also, most online vendors will set stones they didn''t sell in one of their settings for you. The only thing to keep in mind is that companies only cover damanged done to a stone during the setting if they sold the stone.

What size are the stones in that ring? If they are anything over 5 pointers, I would not get it! It definitely will overpower your stone. As a comaprison, I have a 6 stone ering and a 7 stone wedding band. When I first started out, I had a 1.51center with 13 pointers in the bad. The center stone kind of got lost in all the bling. Now I have a 1.73 center with 10 pointers, and it definitely letsthe center stone be the shining star.

Have you been to Jareds and asked them to drop a .90 center stone in the setting to see ho wit looks? Personally, I found Jareds to be a lot higher priced that what I could get online, and the quality of Jared's stones (in the rings) was not as good!
