I don''t know if anyone suggested it but look at Leon Mege''s Available for Sale section. He can make a smaller stone look fabulous with his halos.

I don''t have any advice to add, just that I love a beautiful blue sapphire in a diamond halo and I think it would make a magnificent engagement ring. I''ll be following your posts to see what you come up with.

Ditto I vote for blue, I think it is really classic.
 
I think it''s gorgeous! Half moons would be perfect! What about half moons with a pave band?
 
Love that sapphire and half moons would be gorgeous with it. A stunning combo!! Who is doing the setting?
 
As much as I love the 2nd Leon Mege ring, the sapphire with half moons will look stunning and will give you that wow factor if size is an issue. It will also make a lovely RHR if you do decide to upgrade further down the line.

Enjoy regardless and come back with lots of pics.

there is a fabulous ring pictured on my of the displays by Whiteflash. its a really wide platinum ring with an oval diamond and two pear shaped rubies se into the band..............very antique yet contemporary at the same time. you could do a heated sapphire in the middle with 2 pear shaped diamonds and it would be fabulous!
 
Cocosgirl -- I LOVE the sapphire you''ve chosen. Do you have it held or have you ordered it yet? What a wonderful size - and that rounded oval will be just elegant! I am anxious to see your finished result one of these days!
