4 prong or 6 prong

i received the ring 1.08 carat round with platimum setting , Baguette and Pavé Diamond Ring in Platinum 950. it has only 4 prongs. my wife loves it but i am just concerned it it would be better to have 6 prongs.

well 6 prongs is more secure, and it somewhat gives a round a more "rounder" look if that makes sense

Yes 6 prongs gives a rounder look, however 4 prongs should be fine - just wear with care and have the prongs checked regularly as you would do anyway.

thanks for your response. and also why would blue nile appraise the ring and diamond double the price what i have paid for.
