I am looking into engagement rings for my girlfriend and have been on Tiffany just for ideas. I''m curious how a bead-set or pavel side ring (like the link below) would look with 2 pear-shaped or heart-shaped side stones, instead of just the Solitaire stone? I will be going with Yellow gold for the ring.

Has anyone seen a ring like this before? I wonder if the 3 stones + the beaded sides would be too much. My main goal is to find something elegant (not enormous).

OH have I got some pics for you! I have been researching three stone

These might not be exactly what you are looking for but they are examples of 3-stone with pave or stone set sides:

Leon (of course!)

Well I have a three stone ring with bead set micropave on the shank and I don''t think it is too much. Mine has all round stones, but I think it would look fine with pear sidestones too.

Another Leon, imagine the pave extending.. All of these have round sides but pears would look equally as nice.

angeline, how did you copy the pic from Leon''s cite? I''ve tried to save one for reference and it said ''protected''.

Hmmmm... I just click and drag it to my desktop. Or right-click and choose ''save Image''. I''ve never had a prob copying them. I''m on a Mac, don''t know if that makes a difference?

I think all of the rings that have been posted can be made in YG..
