3 pointer halo

I've been trying to locate single cut melee at the local jewelers but it has not been easy. Most jewelers I've encountered are trying to persuade me to use full cut melee instead. Finally, I've locate one reliable jeweler who has some quality 3 pointers. My original plan was to create a delicate halo ring for my 5x7 sapphire. If I were to use 3 pointers...the whole look would change. I'm open to this but would really like to see some pictures of 3 pointer halos on a 5x7 ring. My gut tells me it would really overpower the sapphire and not look very good. Your thoughts?

3 pointer is fairly large in terms of a melee stone, so I'd use a full cut. If it were 1 or even 1/2 pointer, then I would go with single cuts. If you are aiming for the look of a delicate halo, 3 pointers will probably be too large. All my halos are around 1 pointers surrounding 2 to 5 carat coloured stones.
