I am between 3 ovals:
The first is by far the most well cut but the problem is it is I color. FF thinks Is look cheap and found it yellow looking. Stats on #1:
2.38, I SI1 10.52 x 7.54 x 4.55
depth: 60.3%, table 59%
This oval had basically NO bowtie
and was very lively. The first loose oval I''ve seen without a bowtie...but the color is an issue.
#2: 2.32, F, SI2. The inclusions are a needle which sort of looks like a little scrape somehow- only can see if you look really hard.
10.44 x 7.92 x 4.51
Depth: 56.9%, table 60^
#3: 2.39, E, SI2. One small feather in the middle- doesn''t affect brilliance or bother me
10.73 x 7.81 x 4.39
Depth: 56.2, table 56%
#3 is about $2500 more than #2, which is also about $2500 more than #1. I thought #1 (the I) had the best cut and fire...but FF doesn''t like the I. The I is from one jeweler, #2 and #3 are from the same jeweler. #3 was a bit thinner. We took them outside yesterday on a very sunny day and #2 and #3 had PLENTY of sparkle and great color. I once took an oval H into the sun and it looked more yellow, so this is a good test for me.
THOUGHTS???
