Long time lurker, first time poster. So I have read and read until my eyes can''t read anymore. I''ve got a good feel for what is what with round diamonds and the 4Cs. My scenario, much like others before me, is to figure out which of the 3 below would be best to purchase for an ering. All are similar in price so no concerns there. All Round Brilliant. A, B, or C; that is the question. :) I''m working on getting more info, sarin, pictures, etc on all 3. This is what I have so far. Assume all are eye clean. Size of any of these will be fine.

Diamond A (based on cert)
Cert EGLUSA
Size 1.27
Color F
Clarity SI1
Depth 60.4
Table 57
Crown Angle 33.4
Crown %
Pav Angle 40.7
Pav %
Girdle 1.1%-2.1%
Culet none
Polish Vg
Sym Vg
dimensions 7.01x6.98x4.21
HCA 0.8 ex/ex/ex/vg

I have a sarin for diamond B and used those numbers instead of the certs numbers because I figured the sarin was "better". Using the cert it had a better HCA score. The numbers in (xx) will be the cert numbers for Diamond B.
Diamond B (based on sarin)
Cert EGLUSA
Size 1.15
Color D
Clarity SI1
Depth 61.9 (61.7)
Table 56.1 (56)
Crown Angle 35.3 (35.0)
Crown % 16.3
Pav Angle 40.9 (40.6)
Pav % 42.9
Girdle 1.40% (0.9-1.8%)
Culet 0.70% (none)
Polish Vg
Sym Vg
dimensions 6.80x6.71x4.17
HCA 2.7 vg/vg/vg/vg (0.8 ex/ex/ex/vg)

Diamond C (based on cert)
Cert EGL-? (I would guess Israel)
Size 1.24
Color F
Clarity VS2
Depth 60.5
Table 58
Crown Angle
Crown % 14
Pav Angle
Pav % 43
Girdle M
Culet none
Polish Ex
Sym Ex
dimensions 6.92x6.91x4.17
HCA 0.9 ex/ex/ex/vg

Welcome to PS.

Color & clarity: I'd advise comparing EGL F/SI1 grading to GIA grades of G-H/SI2-I1 (and EGL Israel is more of a turkey shoot) when making pricing comparisons.

As far as cut quality is concerned it will be useful to see images - preferably ideal-scope or ASET - to judge cut consistency, minor facets, etc. Frankly, 40.6/35.0 is different enough from 40.9/35.3 that you need a rescan of Diamond B. The angles on Diamond C translate to 40.7/33.7, giving it the best cut-potential of the group (for my money) if you're basing things on only the numbers...but it's color & clarity may be dubious for it to have earned a trip to EGL Israel.

I got pictures of Diamond A (2) and B (1). C is unfortunately gone.

Diamond A is here.

Diamond B. Hope this helps the discussion. Thanks!

The pictures of diamond "A" don't look like an SI1 to me...

Also, it seems as though this picture was taken in a different lighting environment than the others, which seem to have been in strictly diffuse lighting.
