Hi,

I have a few stones I am considering...could anyone please help and tell me if these are any good....also, these are from Abazias...any feedback on them?

I am looking for something that LOOKS really nice in the 1.5 carat range that looks really "brilliant" and/or "fiery" in the $6,000 - 7,500 range.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Fleano and welcome!

I would recommend you do a thread search on EGL reports. The non-usa ones have a reputation for not being as accurate as GIA and AGS (I unfortunately myself once had a stone that was two colors and two clarities below the EGL Israel report so was not worth the $$$ paid so I do tend to be a bit skittish buying sight unseen). That said, if you have a good appraiser and are willing to take a little time, you can use an appraiser (a real INDEPENDENT appraiser, not someone who also sells jewelry!) to make sure you are paying the proper price for what you get (this is also why EGL prices sometimes appear to be a 'bargain' compared to GIA or AGS when they are priced closer to their actual grade).

Abazias doesn't supply IS pics so it is difficult to fully judge cut. An AGS0 stone from them would probably be a safe one to purchase.
